The first of these began life as a short piece for violin and piano to 'frame' a performance of the Good Friday Play by Karl König, which has a strong Celtic element. It was then expanded into a longer piece which became the first of my Two Elegies for cello and piano (published by Upper Esk Music). The version here is a shorter and slightly revised version of that.
The second and third pieces are both shortened and slightly revised versions of the two Airs from my Dances and Airs for cello and piano (also published by Upper Esk Music).
